A.1.10

Fendt A.1.10 – Main Tractor ECU (A002 - ECU, enhanced control): Spool valve fault, valve 1

Issue description

The valve is not registered on the CAN bus (or cannot be recognized by the valve bus). Because the tractor's computer cannot communicate with the electronic module on the valve, valve actuation is not possible, and the valve defaults to a locked or neutral position.

Check the cause

  1. Check CAN Bus Power Supply: Inspect fuses F040 and F041 on printed circuit board A013. If blown, the valve will drop off the network.

  2. Inspect the Valve Connector: Check the X326 electrical connector (pins 24, 26) on the Y015 (yellow) valve for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out pins.

  3. Test the CAN Lines: Check continuity of the CAN bus wiring between the ECU and the valve (A002 CAN II, pins 4 and 5).

  4. Software Verification: Verify via FENDIAS diagnostic software that the valve has not lost its End-of-Line (EOL) programming for Position 1.

Repair steps

  1. Preparation

Turn off the tractor, relieve all hydraulic system pressure, and disconnect the battery.

  2. Disconnect

Unplug the X326 electrical connector from the Y015 (yellow) valve slice. Disconnect the associated hydraulic lines, capping them to prevent contamination.

  3. Removal

Remove the tie-rod bolts holding the valve stack together and carefully extract the Y015 valve slice.

  4. Installation

Install the new Y015 valve slice. Crucial: You must use new O-rings between the valve slices to prevent internal/external hydraulic leaks. Torque the tie-rod bolts to the manufacturer's specification.

  5. Reassembly

Reconnect the hydraulic lines and the X326 electrical connector.

  6. Calibration/Programming

Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool and use the EOL (End of Line) program to assign the new valve to Position 1.

  7. Testing

Clear the A.1.10 fault code and test the yellow remote for proper operation.
