Fendt A.1.11 – Tractor's General System / Basic Control Unit (A050 or A002): Y015 - Spool valve fault, valve 1 — EEPROM inconsistent
Issue description
The internal electronic memory (EEPROM) of the auxiliary control valve 1 (Y015) has detected corrupted, missing, or inconsistent data. As a built-in safety mechanism, the system locks out the affected valve, moving it into the neutral position and disabling hydraulic operation for that specific circuit.

Check the cause
Perform a key reset (Ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, Ignition ON) to clear temporary voltage drop errors.
Inspect the electrical connector at Valve 1 (Y015) in the rear hydraulic stack for water ingress, corrosion, or damaged pins.
Connect a dealer-level diagnostic tool (such as FENDIAS or TEXA Navigator) to scan the Hydraulic Valve BUS (CAN II) and verify if the valve is communicating.
Attempt an End-of-Line (EOL) reprogramming or calibration of the hydraulic valves using the diagnostic tool to rewrite the corrupted memory.
Repair steps
Preparation
Safely park the tractor on level ground, lower all hydraulic implements to the ground, relieve all hydraulic system pressure, and turn off the ignition.
Locate the Valve
Identify auxiliary spool valve 1 (Y015) within the hydraulic valve block assembly (usually the first slice in the stack).
Removal
Disconnect the CAN bus electrical connector from the valve actuator. Unbolt the electronic actuator head from the mechanical valve body (or remove the entire valve slice, depending on the specific Vario generation's block design).
Replacement/Rebuild
Install the new OEM valve actuator/slice. Alternatively, send the defective actuator to specialized agricultural electronics repair shops (like Ilgenfritz Mechatronics) who can rebuild the circuit board and re-flash the EEPROM.
Reassembly
Bolt the new or repaired actuator back into place and reconnect the wiring harness.
Calibration
Turn on the ignition and connect the diagnostic tool. Register the new valve on the CAN bus and perform an End-of-Line (EOL) calibration so the tractor's main ECU recognizes the new component and sets the correct flow parameters.
