A.1.12

Fendt A.1.12 – Enhanced Control ECU (A002): Spool valve fault, valve 1 — Supply voltage < 8 volts.

Issue description

The valve cannot operate safely with low voltage and automatically moves into the neutral position. Valve operation for this circuit becomes unavailable.

Check the cause

  1. Measure supply voltage at the Y015 valve connector (X326) to confirm if it is dropping below 8 volts.

  2. Inspect fuses F040 and F041 and the power supply on circuit board A013.

  3. Check CAN bus wiring (G-bus connections) at connector X641 (CAN high) and X642 (CAN low) for the Y015-Y019 valve block.

  4. Inspect the wiring harness for high resistance, corroded pins, chafed wires, or poor ground connections between the A002 ECU, A013 circuit board, and X326 valve connector.

Repair steps

  1. Resolve Wiring/Voltage Issues

If the voltage at connector X326 is below 8V, repair the damaged wiring harness, clean the ground points, or replace the blown F040/F041 fuses.

  2. Replace the Valve

If the tractor is supplying proper voltage (typically 12V) to the connector but the A.1.12 code remains active, the internal electronics of the Y015 spool valve have failed. The valve must be replaced.

  3. Access the Valve Block

The valve block is typically located on the right side of the tractor, near the central control block (ZSB). You may need to remove the right entrance step footplate or access flap to reach it.

  4. Install New Valve

Swap out the defective Y015 valve.

  5. EOL Programming

According to Fendt documentation, the auxiliary control valves are programmed for their specific positions (e.g., position 1 / yellow) in the End-of-Line (EOL) program. You will need to use the FENDIAS diagnostic software to program the new valve to the tractor.

  6. Clear Codes

Use the tractor's terminal or the FENDIAS tool to clear the stored A.1.12 fault code and verify normal operation.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Auxiliary Control Valve / Electro-hydraulic Spool Valve (Position 1, Yellow)

Component ID: Y015. Specific OEM part numbers vary heavily by exact chassis serial number and must be sourced via dealer using the tractor's VIN.
