A.1.13

Fendt A.1.13 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control: Y015 - Auxiliary control valve (Spool valve fault, valve 1 / yellow position) Supply voltage > 18 volts (Overvoltage)

Issue description

The system detects an abnormally high voltage going to the valve, causing the valve to automatically move into the neutral (safe) position.

Check the cause

  1. Measure the supply voltage at the Y015 valve connector (X326, pins 24/26) to verify if it is actually receiving more than 18 volts.

  2. Test the alternator output at the battery while the tractor is running to check for an overcharging condition (>15V).

  3. Check the wiring between the A002 ECU and the Y015 valve for shorts to a higher voltage source.

  4. Inspect the power supply for the CAN bus on printed circuit board A013, specifically checking fuses F040, F041, and F047.

Repair steps

  1. Resolve Charging System Issues

If the alternator is outputting more than 15 volts, replace the alternator voltage regulator or the entire alternator assembly to stop the overvoltage condition.

  2. Repair Wiring

If the alternator is charging normally but the valve connector shows >18V, trace the wiring harness back to the ECU and repair any shorts to power.

  3. Replace the Valve (if internally shorted)

If the system voltage is normal (around 12-14V) but the A002 ECU is still logging an internal >18V fault for Y015, the valve's internal electronics/sensor have failed.

  4. Clear Codes and Calibrate

After replacing the valve or repairing the voltage issue, clear the stored fault codes from the tractor's memory and perform an EOL (End of Line) programming/calibration for the new auxiliary control valve so the ECU recognizes it.

Parts you might need

(4)
  • Auxiliary Control Valve (Position 1 / Yellow) / Spool Valve Head

The Y015 valve is specifically designated as "Valve 1" (yellow position) in the EOL program. Ensure the replacement valve is properly assigned to this position during installation.
