Fendt A.1.13 – Enhanced Control / Spool Valve Control Module: Y015 - Spool valve fault, valve 1 — Supply voltage > 18 volts
Issue description
The electronic control system has detected an abnormally high supply voltage (exceeding 18 volts) at the first hydraulic spool valve (designated as component Y015). As a built-in safety consequence, the valve automatically moves into the neutral position and locks out further operation to prevent erratic hydraulic movements or damage to the valve's internal electronics.

Check the cause
Test the overall tractor system voltage at the battery with the engine running to rule out an overcharging alternator.
Inspect the wiring harness leading to Spool Valve 1 (Y015) for chafing, melted insulation, or shorts to a higher voltage source.
Disconnect the harness at the spool valve and use a multimeter to measure the actual supply voltage arriving at the connector pins.
Repair steps
Verify alternator output
Start the tractor and measure the voltage across the battery terminals. If it is >18V (overcharging cause), the alternator/voltage regulator is faulty and must be replaced.
Isolate the valve
If the system voltage is normal (typically 12V–14.5V), turn off the tractor and disconnect the electrical connector at Spool Valve 1 (Y015).
Test the harness
Turn the ignition to the ON position and measure the supply voltage at the harness connector.
Repair wiring
If the harness shows >18V (wiring short cause), trace the wiring back to the control module to locate and repair the short to power.
Replace the spool valve
If the harness shows normal voltage (approx. 12V) but the A.1.13 code remains active when plugged in (internal valve failure cause), the spool valve's internal circuit board/sensor has failed and is misreading the voltage.
Hydraulic depressurization
Turn off the tractor and relieve all hydraulic system pressure.
Remove faulty valve
Unbolt and remove the faulty Y015 spool valve from the hydraulic block.
Install new valve
Install the replacement spool valve using new O-rings/seals. Torque the mounting bolts to OEM specifications.
Calibrate spool valve
Reconnect the electrical harness, clear the fault codes, and perform a spool valve calibration via the tractor's terminal or FENDIAS diagnostic software to register the new valve on the CAN bus.
