A.1.14

Fendt A.1.14 – ECU, enhanced control (A002): Spool valve fault on Valve 1 (Y015)

Issue description

Main piston travel is too short due to a drop in control pressure below 22 bar (valve actuator falls short). As a safety consequence, the affected valve automatically moves into the neutral position.

Applies to these machines

Check the cause

  1. Check hydraulic oil temperature to ensure it is at normal operating levels, as cold oil can trigger this fault

  2. Test the control pressure at measurement point M5 (must be at least 22 bar)

  3. Test the diaphragm accumulator for failure, which can cause sudden pressure drops

  4. Inspect and test the RV7 control pressure valve

Repair steps

  1. Warm up tractor and clear code

Warm up the tractor to ensure the hydraulic oil is at normal operating temperature, then clear the code to see if it returns.

  2. Locate Y015 Auxiliary Control Valve

Locate the Y015 Auxiliary Control Valve (Valve 1), which is typically designated as the 'yellow' valve on the rear terminal plate.

  3. Connect pressure gauge

Connect a pressure gauge to test port M5 to monitor the control pressure.

  4. Actuate valve and inspect accumulator

Actuate the valve. If the pressure drops below 22 bar, inspect the diaphragm accumulator for a ruptured bladder or loss of nitrogen charge. Replace the accumulator if it fails to hold pressure.

  5. Check RV7 valve

Check the RV7 control pressure valve for sticking or debris.

  6. Replace Y015 spool valve actuator/head

If the control pressure remains steady above 22 bar but the A.1.14 code persists and the valve still defaults to neutral, the Y015 spool valve actuator/head is internally faulty and the valve unit must be replaced.
