Fendt A.1.14 – Electrical Valves / VENDI: Spool valve fault, valve 1 (Y015)
Issue description
The main piston travel is too short due to the control pressure dropping below 22 bar. The system forces the valve to move into the neutral position to prevent damage. This fault is frequently triggered if the hydraulic oil temperature is too low.

Check the cause
Verify that the hydraulic oil is up to operating temperature. Cold oil is a primary culprit for this specific code.
Connect a pressure gauge to test port M5 to monitor the control pressure.
Check the hydraulic diaphragm accumulator to ensure it is holding the correct pre-charge and functioning properly to buffer pressure drops.
Inspect the RV7 (pressure relief/regulating valve) and FP (feed pump) circuit for proper operation.
Repair steps
Warm Up the Tractor
Run the machine until the hydraulic fluid reaches normal operating temperature. Clear the code and actuate Valve 1 (Yellow) to see if the fault returns. If it does not, the issue was solely temperature-related.
Measure Pressure
If the fault persists, attach a gauge to the M5 measurement point. Actuate the spool valve and watch for a pressure drop below 22 bar.
Inspect the Accumulator
If the pressure drops sharply below 22 bar during valve actuation, the diaphragm accumulator is likely blown or has lost its nitrogen charge. Replace the accumulator.
Inspect RV7/FP
If the accumulator is good but base control pressure is low, inspect the RV7 valve and the feed pump for wear, sticking, or internal leaks.
Valve Replacement/Reprogramming
If control pressure at M5 remains steady and well above 22 bar but the A.1.14 code still logs, the internal position sensor or main piston inside the Y015 spool valve is physically failing. The Y015 valve will need to be replaced. Note: New auxiliary control valves must be programmed to their specific position (Yellow / Position 1) using the FENDIAS EOL (End of Line) program.
