A.1.15

Fendt A.1.15 – ECU, enhanced control (A002): Y015 - Auxiliary control valve (Spool valve fault, valve 1)

Issue description

Overvoltage (> 45 volts). The system has detected an abnormally high voltage at the valve's electrical circuit, causing the valve to automatically move into the neutral position and disabling its operation.

Applies to these machines

  • 411 Vario COM III
  • 412 Vario COM III
  • 413 Vario COM III
  • 414 Vario COM III
  • 415 Vario COM III
  • 712 Vario COM III
  • 714 Vario COM III
  • 716 Vario COM III
  • 718 Vario COM III
  • 818 Vario COM III
  • 820 Vario COM III
  • Farmer 400 Vario
  • Favorit 700 Vario
  • Favorit 900 Vario
  • 300, 400, 700, 800, and 900 Vario series (including COM III generation models)

Check the cause

  1. Identify the Y015 valve (Valve 1, typically color-coded Yellow) located on the central control block (ZSB).

  2. Inspect connector X326 (specifically pins 23, 24, and 26) at the Y015 valve for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or damaged insulation.

  3. Use a multimeter to check the wiring harness between the valve and the ECU for a short to a high-voltage power source.

  4. Verify the power supply for the CAN bus on the circuit board by checking fuses F040, F041, or F047 depending on the exact model.

Repair steps

  1. Prepare tractor for service

Park the tractor on a level surface, lower all implements, turn off the engine, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.

  2. Relieve hydraulic pressure

Relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system.

  3. Locate valve

Locate the Y015 (Yellow / Valve 1) auxiliary control valve on the hydraulic valve block.

  4. Inspect and repair wiring

Disconnect the X326 electrical connector. If wiring damage is found during the diagnostic phase, repair the harness.

  5. Determine if valve replacement is needed

If the wiring tests perfectly, the internal circuit board/magnet output stage of the Y015 valve has failed and is falsely reading or causing the overvoltage. The valve must be replaced.

  6. Remove faulty valve

Unbolt the faulty Y015 valve from the central control block (ZSB). Be prepared to catch residual hydraulic oil.

  7. Install new valve

Install the new control valve with new O-rings/seals and torque to OEM specifications.

  8. Reconnect components

Reconnect the X326 connector and the battery.

  9. Calibrate new valve

The new auxiliary control valve must be programmed for its specific position (Position 1 / Yellow) using the EOL (End of Line) program via the FENDIAS diagnostic software.
