Fendt A.1.1A – A002 - ECU, Enhanced Control: Spool valve fault, valve 1 — Main piston deflected too far.
Issue description
The internal position sensor of the electro-hydraulic spool valve has detected that the main piston has traveled beyond its maximum allowable physical range. As a direct safety consequence, the system forces the valve to move into the neutral position to prevent uncontrolled hydraulic functions.

Check the cause
Check hydraulic oil and filters for contamination or metal shavings
Test hydraulic control pressure at test port M5 (a drop below 22 bar can cause erratic behavior)
Inspect the diaphragm accumulator and the RV7/FP valve for proper operation
Verify wiring harness and connectors at the Y015 valve and the A002 ECU (CAN II pins 4 and 5) to rule out voltage or communication drops
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Safely shut down the tractor and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system.
Inspect the Valve
Locate valve Y015 on the central control block (this is Valve 1, which is typically color-coded yellow on the remote couplers).
Flush the System
If diagnostic checks revealed metal shavings or debris in the hydraulic oil, the system must be flushed and filters replaced, or the new valve will suffer the same fate.
Replace the Valve
If the control pressure is normal and the oil is clean, the internal mechanical structure or the internal position sensor of the Y015 valve has failed. Remove the retaining bolts, disconnect the electrical harness (Connector X326), and remove the Y015 spool valve. Install the replacement valve and torque to OEM specifications.
EOL Programming
The auxiliary control valve must be programmed for its specific position (Position 1) using the FENDIAS diagnostic tool via the EOL (End-of-Line) program.
Test Operation
Clear the A.1.1A fault code from the A002 ECU memory and test the hydraulic remote for proper deflection and return-to-neutral functionality.
Parts you might need
(1)Electro-Hydraulic Auxiliary Control Valve / Spool Valve (Position 1) / Y015
Exact part numbers vary heavily depending on the specific chassis number. The replacement valve is physically identical to valves Y016-Y019, but it must be electronically assigned to Position 1 via Fendt EOL software to function correctly.
