Fendt A.1.1F – A002 - ECU (Enhanced Control Unit): Spool valve fault, valve 1
Issue description
The system reports that the 'Setpoint message is missing or not plausible' or the 'Configuration message is missing or not plausible'. This indicates a communication or electrical failure at the valve, typically caused by a CAN-BUS error, a potentiometer fault, or a PWM signal failure.

Check the cause
Identify the Y015 valve on the rear hydraulic stack (Position 1, usually marked with a yellow decal or cap).
Inspect the electrical connector at the Y015 valve for moisture, corrosion, or backed-out pins.
Verify the CAN-BUS wiring harness integrity between the A002 ECU and the Y015 valve. A break in the CAN lines will cause the message missing fault.
Check the supply voltage to ensure the valve is receiving proper baseline power.
Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to see if the valve is recognized on the valve bus. If recognized but the fault remains, the valve's internal electronics have failed.
Repair steps
Preparation
Park the tractor on a level surface, lower all implements, turn off the engine, and actuate the hydraulic levers/terminal to relieve all residual hydraulic pressure. Disconnect the battery.
Removal
Disconnect the electrical harness from the Y015 (yellow) spool valve.
Unbolt the Valve
Remove the tie-rod bolts securing the valve stack. Carefully separate the Y015 valve from the hydraulic block. Note: Have a catch pan ready, as residual hydraulic oil will spill.
Installation
Install the new auxiliary control valve, ensuring all O-rings between the valve slices are new and properly seated to prevent internal/external leaks.
Reassembly
Torque the valve stack bolts to OEM specifications and reconnect the electrical harness.
Programming
Connect the FENDIAS software and use the EOL (End of Line) program to configure the new valve to 'Position 1' so the A002 ECU recognizes it on the CAN bus.
Testing
Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, clear the A.1.1F fault code, and test the hydraulic function.
Parts you might need
(2)Electronic Auxiliary Control Valve / Spool Valve (Position 1 / Yellow)
Exact part numbers vary heavily based on the specific tractor model and chassis serial number break. Look up in Fendt EPC. Typically Bosch Rexroth SB23 or SB33 series.
O-rings
Ensure all O-rings between the valve slices are new.
