Issue description
The main piston inside the auxiliary control valve (Valve 2, blue) is failing to travel its full required distance because the hydraulic control pressure dropped below the minimum required threshold of 22 bar. As a safety consequence, the valve automatically defaults into the neutral position to prevent uncontrolled hydraulic functions.

Check the cause
Check hydraulic oil temperature to ensure it is not too low, which can cause high fluid viscosity and pressure drops
Test control pressure at test port M5 to verify if it drops below 22 bar during operation
Test the diaphragm accumulator for proper nitrogen pre-charge and function
Test RV7 (Relief Valve 7) and the feed pump to ensure the relief valve is not stuck open and adequate pressure is supplied
Repair steps
Warm Up the Tractor
Run the tractor until the hydraulic oil reaches standard operating temperature. If the fault clears and full valve travel is restored, the issue was strictly temperature-related.
Verify Supply Pressure
Connect a diagnostic pressure gauge to test port M5. Actuate the hydraulics. If the pressure dips below 22 bar, the issue is with the hydraulic supply circuit, not the spool valve itself.
Inspect the Accumulator
If pressure drops momentarily during valve actuation, the diaphragm accumulator has likely failed. Depressurize the system and replace the accumulator.
Inspect RV7
If the baseline pressure at M5 is consistently low, remove and inspect the RV7 relief valve. Clean it of any debris or replace it if the internal spring is fatigued or the valve is scored.
Replace the Spool Valve (Y016)
If the control pressure at M5 is confirmed to be steady and above 22 bar, but the A.1.24 fault persists, the Y016 valve itself is suffering from internal mechanical binding or a failed internal position sensor. The auxiliary control valve slice (Valve 2) will need to be replaced and reprogrammed via the EOL (End of Line) program.
