A.1.25

Fendt A.1.25 – Enhanced Control ECU / Valve Bus: Spool valve fault, valve 2 — Overvoltage (> 45 volts)

Issue description

The system has detected an electrical voltage exceeding 45 volts at the control circuit or internal electronics for spool valve 2 (Y016). As a safety measure, the valve automatically moves into the neutral position and locks out operation to prevent uncontrolled hydraulic movements.

Check the cause

  1. Test the tractor's alternator output and battery voltage to rule out a failed voltage regulator sending high voltage through the system.

  2. Inspect connector X327 (Valve 2) and the wiring harness for chafing, melted insulation, or crossed wires shorting a high-current line to the valve.

  3. Check the power supply for the CAN bus located in circuit board A013, specifically verifying fuses F040 and F041.

  4. Disconnect X327 from the Y016 valve, turn the ignition on, and probe the harness-side pins with a multimeter to verify if normal system voltage is present (indicating an internal valve circuit board failure).

Repair steps

  1. Depressurize the System

Turn off the tractor, lower all hydraulic implements to the ground, and cycle the hydraulic levers to relieve residual pressure.

  2. Disconnect Power

Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent further electrical damage during the repair.

  3. Remove the Valve

Disconnect the X327 electrical connector from Valve 2 (Blue). Unbolt the hydraulic lines and remove the Y016 spool valve assembly from the hydraulic valve block stack.

  4. Install the New Valve

Mount the replacement valve, ensuring all O-rings and seals are properly seated and lubricated with clean hydraulic fluid. Torque the mounting bolts to OEM specifications.

  5. Reconnect and Refill

Reconnect the hydraulic lines and the X327 electrical connector. Top off the hydraulic fluid (Fendt Super Hyd or Extra Hyd 68) if any was lost.

  6. EOL Programming

Program and calibrate the new auxiliary control valve for 'Position 2' using the FENDIAS EOL (End of Line) diagnostic software.

  7. Clear Codes

Clear the A.1.25 fault code from the tractor's memory and test hydraulic functions.
