Fendt A.1.27 – ECU, enhanced control (A002): Internal position sensor fault

The internal position pickup sensor within the spool valve's electronic actuator has failed or is sending an implausible signal. For safety, the system forces the valve to move into the neutral position, and auxiliary valve operation for this circuit is disabled.

   Verify the Code: Read out the KWP code using the SERDIA / Fendias diagnostic tool to confirm the fault is isolated to the Y016 position sensor.

   Check Voltage & CAN Bus: Ensure the issue is not a wiring harness problem. Check the X327 connector at Valve 2.

   Inspect for Contamination: Check the hydraulic filters and fluid condition.

   Depressurize the System

   Remove all system pressure from the hydraulic circuit before loosening any bolts. Personal injury or equipment damage could result.

   Disconnect Electronics

   Unplug the X327 electrical connector from the Y016 (blue) valve.

   Remove the Valve

   Unbolt the auxiliary control valve from the valve stack.

   Install the New Valve

   Mount the replacement valve. To prevent distorting the valve body, tighten the mounting bolts in steps of 25% using a crisscross pattern.

   EOL Programming

   The new auxiliary control valve must be programmed for 'position 2' using the Fendt EOL (End of Line) program via the diagnostic tool.

   System Flush

   If the failure was accompanied by oil contamination, flush the hydraulic system and replace the hydraulic oil and filters.
