Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connector to the Y016 (Valve 2) auxiliary control valve for corrosion, moisture, or damaged pins.
Verify supply voltage to the valve to rule out voltage issues (related codes A.1.22 or A.1.23) causing erratic sensor readings.
Verify CAN bus communication to ensure the valve is properly registered on the network (related code A.1.30).
Check manual actuation of the valve for mechanical binding or oil contamination; the manual slider must not have play and must return to the middle position.
Repair steps
Depressurize the Hydraulic System
Ensure the tractor is off, implements are lowered, and hydraulic pressure is relieved before servicing.
Remove the Valve Actuator/Head
Disconnect the electrical harness from the Y016 valve. Unbolt the electronic spool valve head (actuator) from the hydraulic distributor block.
Replace the Component
Depending on the specific valve revision on your tractor, you will need to replace either the electronic spool valve head or the entire spool valve assembly.
Clear Fault Codes
Turn the ignition on. Use the Variotronic Ti terminal to navigate to the fault code menu. Confirm and delete the stored fault codes. Note: Canceling a fault message on the main screen only hides it; it must be deleted from the memory module to clear the system.
Calibrate/Test
Start the tractor and test the auxiliary valve operation (both manual and electronic actuation) to ensure the valve returns to neutral and no codes return.
