Fendt A.1.2C – ELECTRICAL VALVES / VENDI: Spool valve fault, valve 2. Floating position has been set manually

The valve registers that it was mechanically overridden rather than electronically commanded, which has no consequences to machine operation.

   Verify if the operator or a technician recently used the emergency manual actuation lever/knob on the auxiliary control valve block (Valve 2 / Blue).

   Inspect the spool for sticking or mechanical binding that might cause the position sensor to read an uncommanded float position.

   Inspect the electrical connector at the Y016 valve (Connector X327, pins 23, 24, 26) for corrosion, moisture, or damage that could disrupt the CAN signal or position feedback.

   Clear the fault code via the terminal and operate the blue valve electronically to see if the code returns.

   Acknowledge the Code

   If the valve was manually actuated for maintenance or implement attachment, simply acknowledge and clear the code in the Fendt terminal. No repair is necessary.

   Clean the Valve Block

   If the code is persistent and uncommanded, thoroughly clean the exterior of the hydraulic valve block (located on top of the rear axle housing) to ensure no debris is forcing the manual override mechanism.

   Recalibrate

   Use the Fendt terminal to check the setpoint/actual value display for Spool Valves 1-4. If the actual value drifts without input, a calibration of the valve may be required via the EOL (End of Line) programming.

   Replace the Valve Slice

   If the internal position sensor (potentiometer/PWM) has failed or the spool is permanently sticking, the specific valve slice (Y016) must be replaced. Depressurize the hydraulic system, disconnect the X327 electrical connector, unbolt the tie rods holding the valve stack together, remove the faulty Valve 2 slice and install the replacement with new O-rings. Re-torque the valve block tie rods to OEM spec and bleed the hydraulic system.
