   Inspect the CAN II wiring (specifically pins 4 and 5) leading to Valve 3 (Y017) for continuity, shorts, or damaged wires

   Check connector X328 (which corresponds to Valve 3) for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins

   Verify if the tractor has lost its configuration data, which may require EOL reprogramming

4. 4

   Test potentiometer/PWM signals by verifying that the setpoint/actual value display on the Vario terminal matches the physical inputs from the joystick or fingertip controls

   Clear the Code

   Attempt to clear the fault code via the Vario terminal. Note that canceling the message does not fix the fault; if it is a hard fault, it will immediately return.

   Wiring Repair

   If the diagnostic checks reveal a broken wire or corroded connector at X328 or the CAN bus harness, repair or replace the affected wiring section.

   EOL Reprogramming

   If the ECU has lost the valve's configuration, connect the Fendt EST/FENDIAS laptop and perform an EOL reprogramming to re-register the valve on the CAN bus.

   Valve Replacement

   If the wiring is intact, the configuration is correct, and the fault persists, the internal electronics (potentiometer/PWM receiver) of the spool valve are faulty. The entire directional control valve (Y017) must be replaced.

   Calibration

   After installing a new valve, calibrate the hydraulics via the Fendt terminal to ensure the setpoint messages are correctly recognized.
