Fendt A.1.40 – A002 module: Spool valve fault, valve 4 — Valve cannot be recognised by valve bus

The tractor's system disables the valve for safety, resulting in "No valve operation available" for the 4th spool valve.

   Verify the voltage supply for the CAN-Bus on fuse board A013. Specifically, check fuses F040 and F041, as blown fuses here will drop the bus communication.

   Check the signal flow diagram for A002 CAN II pins 4 and 5. Inspect the wiring harness between the A002 ECU and the Y018 valve for chafing, breaks, or corrosion.

   Inspect the specific connector at the Y018 valve (designated as connector X329). Ensure the pins are clean and seated tightly.

   Access the Central Control Block

   Unscrew the right-hand step and pull the right auxiliary fuel/hydraulic tank outwards to gain access to the Y018 (Valve 4) spool valve located on the underside of the central control block.

   Test the Circuit

   With a multimeter, test for continuity and shorts to ground on the CAN II lines (pins 4 and 5) running from the A002 ECU to the Y018 valve.

   Replace the Valve

   If the wiring harness, fuses, and connectors test perfectly, the internal electronics (magnet output stage/bus communicator) of the Y018 spool valve have failed. The valve must be removed from the control block and replaced.

   EOL Programming

   After installing a new auxiliary control valve, use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to perform an EOL (End of Line) programming procedure to assign the new valve to "position 4".
