Fendt A.1.47 – Electrical Valves (E-box): Spool valve fault, valve 4 (Auxiliary control valve)

Internal position sensor fault. As a safety measure, the affected valve automatically moves into the neutral position.

   Verify the Fault on the Multi-Display: Read the error code from the multi-display. Note that simply cancelling or clearing the fault code from the terminal does not fix the issue; the fault will reappear the next time the tractor is started if the underlying sensor issue remains.

   Check Manual Actuation: Ensure that manual actuation of the valve does not have any play. The slider must be able to return to the middle (neutral) position by itself.

   Inspect for Oil Contamination: Check the hydraulic fluid condition and filters to ensure debris isn't causing the valve to stick, which could interfere with sensor readings.

   Relieve Hydraulic Pressure

   Before servicing any hydraulic components, ensure the tractor is turned off, implements are lowered, and all hydraulic pressure is relieved from the system.

   Locate Valve 4

   Access the rear electronic spool valve block (E-box) and identify auxiliary control valve 4 (Y018).

   Inspect the Sensor and Wiring

   Check the wiring harness and connector going to the internal position sensor on valve 4 for any breaks, corrosion, or loose connections.

   Replace the Faulty Component

   Because the fault is an internal position sensor failure, the sensor itself or the entire solenoid spool valve section typically needs to be replaced if the sensor cannot be serviced independently.

   Clean the System

   If any contamination is found in the valve bore during removal, clean it thoroughly. Debris can prevent proper seating and cause immediate failure of the new component.

   Clear the Code

   After installing the new valve/sensor, use the tractor's terminal to clear the stored A.1.47 fault code. Each stored code must be cleared individually.
