Fendt A.1.4C – Enhanced Control ECU (A002): Spool valve fault, valve 4 — Floating position has been set manually

   Verify if the operator intentionally used the manual override lever on the rear hydraulic valve block (Valve 4 / Green) to set the implement into float mode

   Inspect the spool valve block at the rear of the tractor and check the manual actuation lever for Valve 4

   Check if the manual lever is stuck due to packed dirt, mud, or debris preventing the spool from returning to the neutral position

   Check for severe hydraulic oil contamination that could be binding the main piston and preventing it from returning to neutral

   Reset the Valve

   Manually move the override lever on Valve 4 (Green) out of the float position and back into the neutral detent.

   Clean the Valve Block

   If the lever is stiff or stuck, thoroughly clean the exterior of the auxiliary valve block with a pressure washer or compressed air to remove debris.

   Cycle the Hydraulics

   Start the tractor and cycle Valve 4 electronically from the cabin terminal to ensure the internal piston moves freely and the position sensor registers the movement.

   Clear the Code

   Acknowledge and clear the fault code from the Fendt Vario terminal.

   Hydraulic Flush

   If the valve piston is physically jammed internally and cannot be moved manually, the hydraulic system may be contaminated. The valve may need to be removed, flushed, or replaced, and the hydraulic filters changed.
