Check the cause
Check system voltage to verify the power supply to the A057 ECU, as drops below 10.1 VDC can cause EEPROM reading/writing errors
Check for accompanying EEPROM codes (such as A.1.55, A.1.56, or A.1.57) which usually point to a hard internal failure of the module
Inspect the wiring harness and connections to the A057 steering controller for corrosion or damage that could cause data corruption or voltage drops
Repair steps
Connect diagnostic tool
Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic laptop to the tractor.
Perform EOL programming
Perform EOL (End of Line) programming on the A057 steering controller to re-flash the module and overwrite the corrupted EEPROM parameters with a valid data set.
Replace module
If the FENDIAS tool cannot successfully write to the EEPROM, the A057 ECU has suffered a hardware failure and must be replaced.
Recalibrate system
Perform a steering valve and steering angle sensor calibration (Calibration code 2401 / 2403) before the Auto-Guide system will engage.
