Fendt A.1.5C – A057 - ECU, steering controller (Auto-Guide): Invalid EEPROM parameters for the steering control regulator (Invalid data set)

The memory inside the steering controller has corrupted, missing, or invalid parameter data required to operate the automated steering system.

   Verify ECU Communication: Ensure the diagnostic tool can communicate with the A057 ECU. If communication is down, check the wiring harness using the 'Auto-Guide COM III' tool box and the specific A057 ECU adapter cable.

   Check for Accompanying Codes: Look for other EEPROM-related faults on the A057 module, such as A.1.55 (EEPROM description fault), A.1.56 (EEPROM reading fault), or A.1.57 (EEPROM contains invalid data).

   Attempt Parameter Read: Check if the current steering control regulator parameters can be read or if the data set is entirely blank/corrupted.

   Connect FENDIAS

   Connect the official Fendt diagnostic software to the tractor.

   Perform EOL Programming

   Perform EOL (End of Line) programming to re-flash the steering controller with the correct, factory-validated data set and parameters.

   Calibrate

   If EOL programming is successful, clear the fault codes and perform a steering calibration to ensure the Auto-Guide system tracks straight.

   Replace the ECU (If Necessary)

   If the ECU refuses to accept the EOL programming or the fault immediately returns, the internal memory chip is physically failed, and the controller must be replaced or sent out for board-level repair.
