Fendt A.1.63 – Auto-Guide: Steering Wheel Moved During Calibration
Issue description
This fault code is triggered when the steering wheel is manually moved or disturbed while the tractor is actively performing the automated calibration routine for the Auto-Guide steering valve. The system detects this manual input, which interrupts and invalidates the calibration process.

Check the cause
Verify Operator Action: Confirm that the operator or technician did not touch, lean on, or bump the steering wheel during the calibration process.
Check Wheel Freedom: Ensure the front wheels have complete sideways freedom of movement and are not bound by deep ruts, heavy mud, or obstacles that might force feedback into the steering column during the automated sweep.
Repair steps
Clear fault code
Acknowledge and clear the active A.1.63 fault code from the tractor's terminal.
Initiate calibration
Initiate the Auto-Guide steering valve calibration process again (Fendt calibration code 2403 is often used to access this routine).
Keep hands off steering wheel
Keep your hands completely off the steering wheel for the entire duration of the calibration.
Complete calibration
Allow the system to finish the routine until a Successful calibration (OK) message is indicated on the display.
