A.1.95

Fendt A.1.95 – A057 - ECU, steering controller (Autoguide): Short circuit in earth of voltage supply for steering angle sensor and pressure switch.

Issue description

This code indicates that the voltage supply line shared by the steering angle sensor and the Autoguide pressure switch has shorted to ground (earth).

Applies to these machines

Check the cause

  1. Consult wiring diagram Sheet 39 (voltage supply/Autoguide) and Sheet 33 (steering angle sensor)

  2. Inspect the wiring harness connecting the A057 Steering Controller ECU to the B094 Steering Angle Sensor and S088 Autoguide Pressure Switch for chafed wires, pinched harnesses, or exposed copper touching the chassis

  3. Perform pinpoint testing using the Fendt adapter box (Tool X899.980.208.100) and adapter cable (X899.980.208.220) at the X1716 disconnect point for the A057 ECU, or directly at the X209 disconnect point for the B094 sensor

  4. Isolate components by disconnecting the B094 sensor and S088 switch one at a time to see if the short to ground clears, which would indicate an internal short in the disconnected component

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent further electrical damage.

  2. Locate the Short

Trace the voltage supply line from the A057 ECU to the B094 sensor and S088 switch.

  3. Repair Wiring

If a short to ground is found in the harness, repair the damaged wire using appropriate weatherproof splices and heat shrink, or replace the affected harness section.

  4. Replace Faulty Components

If the wiring is intact but the B094 sensor or S088 switch is internally shorted, replace the faulty component.

  5. Clear Codes

Reconnect the battery, turn on the tractor, and use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard terminal to clear the stored A.1.95 fault code.

  6. Recalibration

If the B094 steering angle sensor was replaced or its mounting was disturbed, you must recalibrate it (Calibration code 2401).
