Fendt A.1.C4 – A004 - ECU, Control Panel: Timer function button faulty

This is a hardware or signal fault where the timer function button on the tractor's control console is either stuck, damaged, or experiencing an internal electrical failure. The timer function for the spool valves will be disabled, and automatic spool valve operations relying on the timer will not function.

   Inspect the timer function button on the A004 control console for physical sticking, dirt, or debris lodged in the keypad membrane.

   Check the CAN-bus voltage supply on fuse board A013, specifically verifying fuses F040 and F041.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the A004 control console for corrosion, loose pins, or damage that could cause a short circuit or signal fault.

   Attempt to free the key

   If the timer function button is physically stuck, gently clean around the button with electrical contact cleaner and attempt to release it. Cycle the tractor's ignition to see if the fault clears.

   Replace control console

   If the button is not physically stuck but the code persists, the A004 control console has suffered an internal keypad or circuit board failure. Fit a new control console.

   Install new console

   Disconnect the battery, remove the right-hand mudguard interior panel (where the A004 console is housed), disconnect the CAN-bus harness, and remove the faulty console. Install the new unit and reconnect the harness.

   Program new console

   Perform EOL (End of Line) programming or calibration via FENDIAS to match the tractor's specific hydraulic and transmission configurations.
