   Inspect the physical button for spool valve 4 on the joystick to see if it is broken, sticking, or jammed in the depressed position.

   Verify the 8.5V power supply to the joystick and check the fuse board (A013) for fuses related to the CAN bus and joystick power supply.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the joystick (A034) and the Enhanced Control ECU (A002) for continuity, corrosion, or short circuits.

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to monitor the live signal of the memory key/joystick button (A003/A034) to see if the ECU registers the button press or reads a constant high/low signal.

   Verify the wiring at the spool valve 4 solenoid itself to rule out a disturbed signal at the valve end.

   Free a Stuck Button

   If the diagnostic check reveals the button is simply jammed by dirt or debris, carefully clean the joystick housing. If the plastic button itself is broken but the internal microswitch is fine, you can replace just the plastic rocker buttons (often color-coded red/green).

   Repair Wiring

   If a break or short is found in the wiring harness between the joystick and the ECU, repair the damaged wire or replace the affected harness section.

   Replace or Repair the Joystick

   If the internal CAN circuit board of the joystick has failed, the joystick must be removed. You can either send the joystick circuit board to a specialized agricultural electronics repair center or replace the entire joystick assembly.

   EOL Reprogramming

   If the entire joystick (A034) or the Enhanced Control ECU (A002) is replaced, an End-of-Line (EOL) reprogramming via the FENDIAS dealer software is required to pair the new component with the tractor's CAN bus network and restore valve operation.
