Fendt A.1.D4 – Working and steering hydraulics / General system: Release for external operation / position of front power lift — Solenoid switch or signal fault

This code indicates that the position of the shutoff cock for the front power lift cannot be detected, or there is a signal fault with the solenoid switch that locks/releases the external front power lift controls. Because of this fault, it is impossible to switch the operating mode from the hydraulic connection to the front power lift.

   Verify the physical position of the shutoff cock (AVF) for the front power lift to ensure it isn't mechanically jammed.

   Locate the S023 switch (Lock solenoid switch for the external front power lift control button).

   Using the 'Spool valves 1' wiring diagram (Sheet 26), test the wiring harness connecting the S023 switch to the hydraulic control module for breaks, shorts, or corrosion.

   Locate the Switch

   The S023 switch is located on the right entrance step of the tractor, right next to the AVF stopcock.

   Access the Component

   Remove the cover panel on the right entrance step to expose the switch and the stopcock assembly.

   Test/Replace

   Disconnect the electrical connector to the S023 switch. Test the switch for proper continuity when actuated. If the switch is internally shorted or fails to send a signal, unbolt and remove the faulty switch.

   Install New Part

   Install the replacement S023 switch, reconnect the wiring harness, and reinstall the cover panel.

   Verify Operation

   Start the tractor and attempt to switch the operating mode from the hydraulic connection to the front power lift to ensure the code has cleared and functionality is restored.
