Fendt A.1.DA – Tractor / General System (Spool Valves 1): S022 - Switch (external), lower front power lift
Issue description
The system has detected that the external push-button switch used to lower the front linkage is faulty, which locks out the valve operation for the front power lift and disables the 'Kickout' function.

Check the cause
Check the S022 external lower switch on the front of the tractor for dirt, mud, or debris that might be physically jamming the button.
Disconnect the switch and inspect the wiring harness for breaks, chafing, or a short-to-ground, as well as corrosion inside the connector.
Consult the tractor's wiring diagram (specifically 'Sheet 26' or 'Sheet 27' for Spool Valves) to trace the signal line back to the control module and verify voltage/continuity.
Repair steps
Preparation
Turn off the tractor, lower any front implements safely to the ground (if possible), and disconnect the battery to protect the electronic control circuits.
Access the Switch
Locate the S022 external lift/lower switch assembly mounted on the front linkage housing.
Disconnect
Unplug the wiring harness connector from the back of the switch.
Clean and Prep
Clean the harness connector thoroughly. Apply dielectric grease to the terminals to prevent future moisture ingress and corrosion.
Replace
If the switch is internally shorted or mechanically broken, unbolt/unclip the old switch from its external mounting bracket and install the new OEM replacement switch.
Reassembly
Reconnect the wiring harness securely.
Clear Codes & Test
Reconnect the battery, turn on the tractor, and use the Vario terminal to clear the stored A.1.DA fault code. Test the external lower button to ensure the front power lift responds smoothly and the code does not return.
