Fendt A.1.DB – General System / Tractor Management System (TMS): Hydraulic oil tank characteristic is implausible

The system is receiving a signal from component S036 (Switch, hydraulic oil level indicator / sensor) that does not match expected parameters, resulting in an incorrect display of the hydraulic oil supply on the tractor's monitor.

   Manually check the hydraulic oil level in the tank to ensure the tractor is not actually low on hydraulic fluid.

   Check the wiring harness and connector leading to the S036 sensor (located on the right side of the tractor, at the top of the hydraulic tank) for breaks, corrosion, or a disconnected plug.

   Look for other S036-related codes (such as A.1.D7 for a broken wire/disconnected sensor, or A.1.D9 for an empty tank) to rule out a hard electrical fault versus a software calibration issue.

   Top off fluids

   Ensure the hydraulic oil is filled to the correct specification level.

   Perform EOL Reprogramming

   Connect the tractor to the FENDIAS diagnostic software to recalibrate the hydraulic oil tank characteristics so the ECU can accurately read the S036 sensor's sweep.

   Replace Sensor

   If EOL reprogramming fails or the sensor is internally shorted/faulty, safely relieve any tank pressure, unscrew the S036 hydraulic oil level switch from the top of the hydraulic tank, and install a replacement.

   Clear Codes

   Clear the fault codes via the tractor's terminal or FENDIAS and verify the hydraulic oil level displays correctly on the dash.
