Fendt A.1.F2 – Overall System/Tractor ECU: Y032 Control pressure solenoid valve current too high / short circuit to earth/ground
Issue description
The system detects an excessive current draw, typically caused by a short to ground in the wiring or an internal short within the solenoid coil. As a safety measure, the valves are forced into the neutral position, and no valve actuation (including the front power lift and spool valves) is possible.

Check the cause
Wiring Harness Inspection: Consult the "ELECTRICAL VALVES 1-4" wiring diagram (often Sheet 26 in the OEM manual). Trace the wiring from the ECU to the Y032 solenoid valve.
Check for Short to Ground: Disconnect the Y032 valve and use a multimeter to check the supply wire for continuity to ground. If there is continuity, the wiring harness is chafed or pinched and needs repair.
Test the Solenoid Coil: If the wiring harness tests good, measure the internal resistance of the Y032 solenoid coil. A reading of near-zero ohms indicates an internal short circuit, meaning the valve itself has failed and must be replaced.

Safety First
Before working on the electrical system, always remove the earth (ground) strap from the battery.
Depressurize the Hydraulics
The hydraulic lines remain under high pressure even when the engine is off. Prior to opening any hydraulic circuits, manually release the pressure. For example, screw in the knurled-head screws on the suspension solenoid valves (Y013, Y014) and the Y032 valve to relieve accumulator pressure.
Locate the Valve
The Y032 control pressure solenoid valve is typically flange-mounted on the end plate at the bottom of the last control valve (SB 23 - EHS).
Remove the Faulty Component
Disconnect the electrical connector from the Y032 valve. Unbolt and carefully remove the solenoid valve from the hydraulic block. Be prepared to catch any residual hydraulic oil.
Install the New Valve
Install the replacement Y032 solenoid valve using new O-rings (lubricated with clean hydraulic oil). Torque the mounting bolts to the specification listed in the technical data section of your specific model's manual.
Reassemble and Test
Reconnect the electrical connector. Reconnect the battery earth strap. Start the tractor, allow the hydraulic system to build pressure, and check for leaks.
Clear Codes
Use the Varioterminal or FENDIAS diagnostic tool to clear the A.1.F2 fault code and verify that spool valve and front power lift operations have been restored.
