A.1.F3

Fendt A.1.F3 – Tractor Management System (TMS) / Variotronic Ti: Y032 - Control pressure solenoid valve — Break in wiring

Issue description

Indicates an open circuit (interrupted supply line) in the electrical actuation system for the Y032 solenoid valve. As a safety measure, the system defaults the valves to a neutral position, meaning no valve actuation (internal or external) is possible while this code is active.

Check the cause

  1. Visually inspect the wiring harness and the connector leading to the Y032 solenoid valve for chafing, corrosion, or a physically broken wire.

  2. Use a multimeter to perform a continuity test between the control unit output and the Y032 valve connector to isolate the location of the wiring break.

  3. Test the resistance of the Y032 solenoid coil itself. An infinite resistance reading indicates an internal break in the coil.

Repair steps

  1. Safety First

Turn off the tractor engine. Before working on the electrical system, always remove the earth strap from the battery.

  2. Depressurize the Hydraulics

The hydraulic system remains under high pressure (up to 200 bar) even when the engine is off. Manually relieve the hydraulic pressure in the control block before performing any mechanical work near the valves.

  3. Locate the Component

Locate the Y032 control pressure solenoid valve on the main hydraulic spool valve control block.

  4. Repair the Harness

If the diagnostic tests proved the wiring harness is broken, splice and repair the damaged wire using weatherproof connectors, or replace the damaged pigtail connector.

  5. Replace the Solenoid

If the solenoid coil failed internally, remove the retaining fastener holding the coil to the valve stem, slide the old coil off, and install the new OEM replacement.

  6. Reassembly & Testing

Reconnect the electrical plug to the Y032 valve and reattach the battery earth strap. Start the tractor, allow the hydraulic system to pressurize, and use the Variotronic Ti terminal to clear the stored fault code. Test the spool valves and front power lift to ensure full actuation has been restored.
