Fendt B.1.11 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control: Electrical fault in TI automatic operation (user teach-in fault ECU or sensor)

Indicates an electrical malfunction within the Variotronic TI (Teach-In) headland management system. The system detects an electrical fault related to the release of the automatic keys or a sensor input, which results in the Variotronic TI automatic mode being disabled and the teach-in function becoming non-operational.

   Inspect the Variotronic TI automatic keys/buttons on the joystick and armrest control console for physical damage, sticking buttons, or debris.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the Variotronic TI switches/sensors and the A002 E-box for breaks, chafing, corrosion, or short circuits.

   Use the tractor's Varioterminal (Diagnostics Menu 1) or FENDIAS diagnostic tool to monitor inputs from the Variotronic TI keys and verify if the A002 ECU is receiving signals.

   Check the power supply and ground connections to the A002 E-box to rule out a localized voltage drop.

   Acknowledge the Fault

   Note that simply cancelling the fault message on the terminal does not remove the fault; it only hides the display. The underlying electrical issue must be resolved.

   Replace Faulty Inputs

   If a Variotronic TI key, switch, or sensor is found to be electrically open, shorted, or mechanically stuck, replace the affected switch or the respective joystick/armrest component.

   Repair Wiring

   Repair or replace any damaged wiring segments or corroded pins at the connectors leading to the A002 E-box.

   ECU Reprogramming/Replacement

   If the wiring and switches test perfectly, the fault may reside within the A002 E-box itself (RAM/EEPROM fault). The E-box may require End-of-Line (EOL) reprogramming via FENDIAS. If reprogramming fails, the A002 E-box must be replaced.

   Clear and Test

   After repairs are made, clear the fault codes from the memory and test the Variotronic TI headland management system in the field to ensure the automatic sequence records and executes properly.
