Check the cause
Check the CAN Bus power supply voltage and fuse F047 on printed circuit board A013
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the A002 ECU and the A034 Drive switch for continuity, shorts to ground, or loose pins
Use the FENDIAS diagnostic program to check the A034 drive switch, read the error counter, and determine if the module has lost its programming (EOL checksum error)
Repair steps
Verify the Fault
Confirm the presence of fault code B.1.24 on the tractor's terminal. Note that the Teach-in function will be disabled.
Check Fuses
Locate the A013 fuse board and test fuse F047. Replace the fuse if it is blown.
Inspect Connections
Disconnect the battery. Inspect the harness connectors at the A034 Drive switch (Joystick) and the A002 ECU. Clean any corrosion and ensure pins are seated tightly.
Test CAN Lines
Measure the resistance and continuity of the CAN bus lines between the A002 ECU and the A034 Drive switch to rule out a broken wire or short circuit.
Reprogramming
If the wiring and power supply are intact, the A034 Drive switch or A002 ECU may require new EOL (End of Line) programming via the FENDIAS dealer tool.
Component Replacement
If EOL programming fails or the hardware is internally shorted, replace the A034 Drive switch or the A002 ECU.
Clear Codes
Restart the tractor, clear the fault codes from the memory, and test the Variotronic TI (Teach-in) system to ensure normal operation.
