F.1.F0

Fendt F.1.F0 – A034 Joystick (Drive switch) / A002 ECU: A034 - Joystick — Diagnosis / filter data checksum error

Issue description

A checksum error in the diagnostic or filter data of the A034 Joystick, indicating internal software parameters or calibration data within the joystick's memory have become corrupted or are failing a mathematical validation check.

Check the cause

  1. Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic program and check the A034 drive switch data to verify if the joystick is communicating properly on the CAN bus or is stuck in an initialization error state

  2. Check the power supply for the CAN bus from circuit board A013, specifically inspecting fuse F047

  3. Inspect the wiring harness between the A034 Joystick and the A002 ECU for continuity, chafing, or loose connector pins

Repair steps

  1. Connect diagnostic tool

Connect the tractor to the FENDIAS diagnostic tool.

  2. Navigate to programming

Navigate to the programming section for the A034 component.

  3. Run EOL programming

Run new EOL (End of Line) programming for the A034 joystick. This rewrites the factory parameters and clears the corrupted filter data.

  4. Cycle ignition

Cycle the tractor's ignition OFF, then ON.

  5. Test joystick functions

Test the joystick functions (forward/reverse, acceleration, auxiliary valves) to ensure the fault code does not return.

  6. Replace or repair joystick

If the EOL programming fails to write, or if the F.1.F0 code immediately returns, the internal EEPROM or CAN circuit board inside the A034 joystick has failed. The joystick or its internal circuit board must be replaced or sent out for electronic repair.
