Fendt F.1.FF – A034 - Joystick: Byte address checksum error

Initialization error when the system attempts to read the EEPROM of the joystick, specifically a checksum error in the first 126 bytes of addresses or routing data.

   Connect the tractor to the FENDIAS diagnostic program and check the A034 drive switch data

   Verify the CAN bus power supply to the joystick on circuit board A013 and inspect fuse F047

   Use the tractor's terminal (A008) to check the IDEAL / VE / REAL bar indicators to see if joystick inputs (forward/reverse decimal values from +10000 to -10000) are being registered by the transmission control unit

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to the tractor.

   Run EOL programming

   Run new EOL (End of Line) programming specifically for the A034 - joystick.

   Clear fault codes

   Clear the fault codes and cycle the ignition.

4. 4

   Test operations

   Test the joystick's forward/reverse and auxiliary valve operations.

5. 5

   Replace joystick if necessary

   If the EOL reprogramming fails to write to the EEPROM or the code immediately returns, the internal memory of the A034 joystick has physically failed, and the joystick assembly must be replaced and subsequently programmed.
