Iveco 015F – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / Bosch EDC: Malfunction of the fuel system, affecting the toxicity of the emissions
Issue description
The engine control system has detected an irregularity in the fuel delivery or combustion process that is causing the vehicle's exhaust emissions to exceed acceptable toxicity thresholds.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- Iveco Daily
- Iveco Stralis
- Iveco Tector
Check the cause
Read Sub-Codes: Check the EDC for additional, more specific fault codes (such as injector circuit faults or fuel rail pressure faults) that often accompany 015F.
Fuel Pressure Test: Verify that the high-pressure and low-pressure fuel rail parameters are within the manufacturer's specified range.
Injector Testing: Check for leaking, clogged, or malfunctioning fuel injectors, which can cause rich/lean conditions and spike toxic emissions.
Emissions Sensors: Inspect the oxygen sensors (Lambda probes) and EGR system, as faulty readings here can trigger toxicity warnings.
Repair steps
Perform repairs based on diagnostic results
The repair procedure will strictly depend on the results of the diagnostic checks (e.g., replacing a faulty fuel injector, replacing a failing high-pressure fuel pump, or clearing a blocked fuel line).
