Iveco 035F – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / EDC: Air Supply System Malfunction Affecting Toxic Emissions

A system-level diagnostic trouble code indicating an ongoing anomaly in the intake air volume, air pressure, or airflow rate. The air-to-fuel ratio cannot be properly maintained, causing the vehicle to likely exceed permissible toxic emission standards.

   Scan the ECU for accompanying specific component faults (e.g., 0385, 0386, or 0389) that trigger this system-level code

   Perform a visual inspection and smoke test on the intake tract to check for split intercooler hoses, loose clamps, or a cracked intake manifold

   Monitor MAF and MAP sensor live data during a test drive to compare requested air mass/boost against actual measured values

   Inspect the EGR valve to see if it is stuck open due to heavy soot buildup, which displaces fresh intake air
