John Deere 107 – ECU: The Air Filter Sensor Has Detected High Pressure Difference, Suggests a Blocked Air Filter

The pressure differential across the engine's air filter is extremely high, meaning the primary engine air filter is significantly restricted, clogged, or obstructed. When this code is active, the engine may limit power to protect itself, and an initial audible alarm may sound.

   Inspect the exterior of the air filter housing and the cooling system for heavy debris buildup

   Verify that the aspirator (precleaner) is not clogged and is functioning correctly, as a failed precleaner will cause the main filter to plug much faster

   Ensure you do not attempt to blow out the primary air filter with compressed air, as this can damage the filter media and allow dust into the engine

   Set the park brake, shut OFF the engine, and remove the key

   This ensures dirt cannot be pulled into the engine intake during service.

   Inspect and wipe down the outside of the filter housing

   Do this before opening it to prevent loose dirt from falling inside.

   Open the snap latches and remove the dust cover

   There are usually 6 snap latches.

   Carefully remove the Primary Filter

   Move it slightly from side to side while pulling outward.

   Completely clean the inside of the housing

   Use a damp cloth.

   Do not remove the inner Safety Filter (Secondary Filter) unless you are replacing it

   The safety filter admits no cleaning. It should only be replaced every 1500 hours, if it is visibly dirty, or every third time the primary filter is changed.

   Clean the gasket sealing surface

   Clean the surface on the new primary filter.

   Install the new primary filter

   Ensure it is fully seated to avoid contamination of the intake system.

   Reinstall the dust cover and secure the snap latches

    Start the engine and verify the code has cleared

    Verify the 000107.00 code has cleared.
