   Listen for Operation: Turn the ignition key to the ON position (with the engine off). You should hear the electric low-pressure fuel pump running to prime the system. If it does not run, proceed to electrical checks.

   Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Check the wiring harness and connectors between the fuel pump and the ECU (specifically ECU pins 21 and 22 on some models) for loose connections, corrosion, or damaged wires.

   Check Voltage: Verify the supply voltage to the pump. The ECU will trigger related codes (like 1075.04) if the supply voltage drops below 9V. Ensure the battery and charging system are healthy.

   Verify Fuel Supply: Ensure the fuel tank has sufficient fuel, the fuel shutoff valve is in the ON position, and the primary/secondary fuel filters are not severely clogged, which can strain the pump.

   Preparation

   Turn off the machine, disconnect the battery, and ensure the fuel shutoff valve is closed to prevent excessive spilling.

   Locate the Pump

   Locate the electric low-pressure fuel pump, which is typically mounted directly to the primary fuel filter/water separator header.

   Disconnect Electrical

   Disconnect the jumper wiring harness connector from the electric fuel pump.

   Remove the Pump

   Loosen and remove the mounting hardware (usually 3 cap screws) securing the fuel pump to the filter header.

   Clean and Prep

   Remove the old fuel pump and discard the old seal. Clean the mounting surface on the filter header.

   Install New Pump

   Install the new electric fuel pump with a new seal/O-ring. Insert and tighten the cap screws securely.

   Reconnect Electrical

   Plug the wiring harness back into the new pump.

   Bleed the Fuel System

   Open the fuel shutoff valve. Turn the switched power to the ON position (do not crank the engine). The electric low-pressure fuel pump will automatically start to bleed air from the system. Allow the pump to run for 60 to 120 seconds to fully prime the system.

   Test

   Start the engine, check the fuel supply system for leaks, and clear the ECU fault codes.
