1176.07

John Deere 1176.07 – ECU: Turbocharger Inlet Pressure Sensor Fault / Intake Air Pressure Mismatch

Issue description

The Engine Control Unit (ECU) detects a disparity or mismatch in the intake air pressure readings. This means the signal coming from the intake air pressure sensor (or turbocharger inlet pressure sensor) does not align with the expected operational parameters, indicating a problem with measuring the intake air pressure.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the intake air pressure / turbocharger inlet pressure sensor for obvious signs of physical damage, blockage, or malfunction, and ensure it is securely mounted.

  2. Examine the wiring harness and connectors related to the sensor for signs of chafing, damage, corrosion, or loose pins.

  3. Test the signal voltage from the pressure sensor using a diagnostic tool or multimeter and compare live readings to expected baseline values.

  4. Check the ECU for internal faults if the sensor tests perfectly and the wiring harness has continuity with no shorts to ground or power.

Repair steps

  1. Address Wiring Issues

If chafed wires or corroded connectors are found during the diagnostic phase, repair or replace the affected harness section.

  2. Replace Faulty Sensor

If the sensor signal is out of range or dead, remove the defective intake air pressure sensor and install a new OEM replacement.

  3. Clear Codes and Reset

After addressing the hardware, reset the ECU to clear the 001176.07 error code.

  4. Verify Operation

Run the engine and perform a test cycle under load to ensure the pressure sensor operates correctly, turbocharger efficiency is restored, and the code does not return.
