   Inspect the exhaust manifold pressure sensor and its wiring harness for signs of physical damage, melting, corrosion, or loose connections.

   Disconnect the sensor and use a multimeter to check the connector terminals. Verify that you have a steady 5-volt supply, a good return (ground), and continuity on the signal wire back to the ECU.

   Test the signal wire for a short to ground, which is the primary electrical trigger for the Out of Range Low fault.

   Locate the Sensor

   The Exhaust Manifold Pressure Sensor (often called the EGR pressure sensor) is located on top of the engine valve cover, typically toward the rear (flywheel side) of the engine.

   Removal

   Ensure the machine is off and the key is removed. Disconnect the electrical pigtail from the sensor and unthread/remove the faulty sensor from its port.

   Installation

   Install the new sensor into the port.

   Reconnection

   Plug the electrical connector back into the new sensor.

   Verification

   Clear the inactive codes from the ECU monitor and run the machine to verify the code does not return.
