John Deere 1347.07 – ECU: Fuel Rail Pressure Actual to Desired Mismatch / Fuel Rail Pressure Control Error / Control Valve 1 Fuel Pressure Deviation

The Engine Control Unit (ECU) detects that the actual fuel rail pressure is 5 MPa (725 psi) above or below the expected/desired pressure. Symptoms include engine miss, running rough, black smoke, severe loss of power under load, or derated power mode.

   Verify good fuel supply and check the suction screen located inside the fuel tank for partial plugging.

   Inspect the fuel filter housing, integrated lift pump, and all low-pressure lines and fittings for looseness that could allow air into the system.

   Check the fuel pressure at the mechanical lift pump to ensure it maintains 3 to 4 psi before the high-pressure system takes over.

   Inspect the injector harness plug and the fuel rail pressure sensor connector for dirt, corrosion, or damage.

   Test the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor resistance. Resistance to ground should be infinite ohms (open circuit).

   Address Low-Pressure Restrictions

   Replace the primary and secondary fuel filters. Clean the fuel tank suction screen and bleed the fuel system of any air. Test run the machine under load.

   Replace the Suction Control Valve (SCV)

   If the low-pressure system is verified good and the code persists, remove the old SCV, install the new one, and ensure the O-rings are seated properly.

   Check the Pressure Relief Valve

   If the SCV does not resolve the issue, check the fuel rail pressure relief valve for leakage while the engine is running. If it is bypassing fuel prematurely, replace it.

   Replace the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor

   If sensor diagnostics fail, or if the sensor is reading erratically, replace the fuel rail pressure sensor.

   Inspect High-Pressure Pump / Injectors

   If all above steps fail, the high-pressure fuel pump itself may have failed, or the fuel injectors may be excessively worn and bypassing too much fuel back to the return.

   Clear Codes

   Use John Deere Service Advisor to clear the stored 001347.07 code and perform a test run under working load to verify the repair.
