John Deere 1499: Separator Engage Output Transistor Fault
Issue description
The separator engage output transistor has detected an open, short, over voltage, or over temperature condition. The Armrest Control Unit has disengaged the separator as a result. The fault condition must be resolved before the separator can be re-engaged.
Check the cause
The separator engage output transistor
The circuit connected to the separator engage output transistor
Power supply and voltage levels to the separator engage output transistor
Temperature conditions around the separator engage output transistor
Repair steps
Inspect
Inspect the separator engage output transistor for visible damage or signs of overheating.
Test
Test the separator engage output transistor for open or short circuits using a multimeter.
Check
Check the power supply and voltage levels to the separator engage output transistor to ensure they are within acceptable limits.
Monitor
Monitor the temperature of the area around the separator engage output transistor during operation.
Replace
If the separator engage output transistor is found to be faulty, replace it with a compatible component.
