Issue description
The control unit has detected that the unswitched battery supply voltage feeding into the module has dropped below the normal operational threshold, specifically falling below 9.0 volts. This low voltage condition can impair the functionality of electronic components, prompting the module to disable its functions or enter a safety mode.

Check the cause
Inspect the area around the batteries and the alternator for any visual signs of damage, corrosion, or accumulated debris
Verify the battery's health and charge level, and check the alternator and voltage regulator to confirm they are charging the battery correctly
Inspect all wiring harnesses, grounds, and connectors providing power to the RPM module for damage, wear, corrosion, or loose connections
Use a multimeter to measure the voltage directly at the RPM module's unswitched power input pins to ensure it is consistently above 9.0 volts
Check the power distribution board for any blown fuses related to the transmission or cab control modules
Repair steps
Attempt Vehicle Recovery (Temporary)
If operating the machine, reduce the electrical load (turn off lights, A/C, etc.) or increase the engine RPM to see if the alternator can overcome the voltage deficit and recover the system.
Power Down and Inspect Fuses
Turn off the tractor, cycle the key switch, and check the fuses supplying the RPM module. Replace any blown fuses.
Clean Connections
Disconnect the battery. Clean the battery terminals, chassis grounds, and the RPM module harness connectors to ensure proper electrical contact.
