   Stop and Cool

   Safely park the machine, turn off the engine, and allow the transmission system to cool completely to avoid burn hazards.

   Clean the Cooling System

   Use compressed air or a pressure washer (carefully) to clean the transmission oil cooler fins of any accumulated dust, chaff, or mud.

   Reroute/Replace Lines

   If any transmission oil cooler lines are pinched or damaged, reroute or replace them to restore proper fluid flow.

   Top Up Fluids

   If the transmission/hydraulic oil level is low, fill it to the manufacturer's specified level using approved John Deere hydraulic fluid.

   Replace the Sensor

   Locate the transmission oil temperature sensor, disconnect the electrical wiring harness, unscrew the old sensor, apply a light coat of sealant or dielectric grease to the threads of the new sensor (or ensure the new O-ring is seated), thread it into place, and reconnect the wiring harness.

   Clear Codes

   Cycle the tractor's power or use a diagnostic tool to clear the 000177.00 fault code, then test operate the machine to ensure the temperature remains in the normal range.
