   Verify Implement Load: Ensure the attached front implement is not jammed or genuinely overloading the PTO during startup.

   Inspect Sensor Wiring & Connections: Check the wiring harness to the Front PTO speed sensor for damage, loose connections, or corrosion.

   Test the Speed Sensor: Use diagnostic tools to test the Front PTO speed sensor for continuity and proper operation.

   Inspect the Proportional Solenoid Valve: Check if the front PTO proportional solenoid valve is failing, which can cause the clutch to slip.

   Locate speed sensor

   Locate the Front PTO speed sensor on the front implement drive housing.

   Disconnect wiring

   Disconnect the 2-pin wiring harness plug from the sensor.

   Remove faulty sensor

   Unthread and remove the faulty speed sensor (Probe length is approx. 36.5mm, Thread OD 19.8mm).

   Install new sensor

   Install the new speed sensor, ensuring the supplied O-ring is properly seated to prevent leaks.

   Reconnect and clear codes

   Reconnect the wiring harness and clear the PTF codes.

   Locate solenoid valve

   If the sensor is reading correctly but the clutch is slipping due to poor hydraulic pressure, locate the front PTO proportional solenoid valve.

   Remove solenoid valve

   Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the valve from the hydraulic block.

   Install replacement valve

   Install the replacement solenoid valve and retest PTO engagement.

   Remove Front Implement Drive

   If the sensor and solenoid are functioning perfectly, the clutch pack inside the PTO is likely worn out and slipping excessively. Remove the Front Implement Drive assembly from the tractor.

    Recondition drive

    Disassemble and recondition the Front Implement Drive (replacing worn clutch discs and seals).

    Reinstall and test

    Reinstall the Front Implement Drive and test under load.
