   Visually inspect the physical position of the Front PTO switch on the console to ensure it is fully in the OFF (disengaged) position.

   Perform an operational check by turning the key off, ensuring the switch is OFF, and restarting the tractor to see if the code clears.

   If the switch is physically OFF but the code persists, check for an internally shorted switch (stuck closed) or a short-to-power in the wiring harness between the switch and the PTF module.

   Clear the Condition

   Turn off the engine. Push/turn the Front PTO switch to the OFF position. Restart the engine.

   Test the Switch

   If the code immediately returns upon startup with the switch OFF, turn off the machine and disconnect the battery.

   Remove the Console Panel

   Carefully pry or unscrew the side console panel to access the back of the Front PTO switch.

   Continuity Test

   Disconnect the wiring harness from the switch. Use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. When the switch is in the OFF position, there should be an open circuit (no continuity). If there is continuity while OFF, the switch is internally fused/stuck and must be replaced.

   Inspect Wiring

   If the switch tests good, inspect the wiring harness leading back to the PTF module. Look for rubbed-through insulation or pinched wires that could be introducing voltage to the PTO signal wire. Repair any damaged wiring.

   Reassemble and Clear Codes

   Install the new switch or repaired harness, reconnect the battery, and start the tractor to verify the code has cleared.
