   Visually inspect the power supply around the batteries and alternator for damage, debris, or loose grounds causing low voltage

   Inspect CAN Bus wiring and connectors between the TIQ/ICU modules and the HCU for loose, damaged, or corroded wires

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and remove the key.

   Fuse Replacement

   Locate the fuse panel and inspect fuse F30. If blown, replace it with a fuse of the correct amperage and turn the key ON. If the code clears and the 3-point hitch resumes operation, the repair is complete.

   Harness Testing

   If the fuse is intact, disconnect the harness at the Hitch Control Unit. Use a multimeter to verify that the HCU is receiving proper battery voltage and has a clean ground.

   CAN Bus Continuity

   Test the CAN High and CAN Low pins at the HCU connector for continuity back to the main harness, and ensure there is no electrical interference or short to ground.

   Module Replacement/Update

   If power, ground, and CAN wiring are all verified as good, the HCU itself has likely suffered an internal failure or software corruption. The module must be replaced or re-flashed by a John Deere dealer.
