   Use a John Deere Service ADVISOR diagnostic tool to monitor network traffic and verify if the CCU is broadcasting on the CAN bus

   Check the current software and firmware versions on both the reporting module and the CCU for known bugs causing communication timeouts

   Resolve Power/Ground Issues

   If any blown fuses or damaged wiring were found during the diagnostic phase, repair the wiring harness and replace the fuses. Clear the codes and retest.

   Clean Connections

   Disconnect the harness connectors at the CCU and the reporting module. Apply dielectric grease and reconnect to ensure a solid pin-to-pin connection.

   Update Software/Firmware

   Flash the CCU and the reporting module (HCU/HCC/TIQ) with the latest software payload via John Deere Service ADVISOR. Software mismatches are a primary cause of "internal software configuration" faults.

   After updating, perform a module reset and reinitialize the control units to clear the error states and force a CAN bus handshake.

   Module Replacement
