John Deere 2350.05 – Vehicle Load Center (VLC) or Flex Load Controller (FLC): Low Beam Lights Circuit Current Low / Low Beam Lamps Open Circuit
Issue description
The Vehicle Load Center (VLC) or Flex Load Controller (FLC) has detected an open circuit in the left or right low beam headlight circuit. The control unit is reading that the current in the circuit has dropped below 500 milliamperes (0.5 amps). This typically points to a blown headlight bulb, a disconnected plug, or a break/high resistance in the wiring circuit. When this fault is active, the affected low beam lights will be disabled by the controller.

Check the cause
Visually inspect the left and right low beam headlight bulbs to see if the filament is burnt out or the glass is damaged.
Inspect the wiring harnesses and connectors associated with the low beam light circuit. Look for signs of wire fatigue, mechanical damage, disconnections, or corrosion at the pins.
Verify that the relay and fuse for the low beam light circuit are intact and functioning properly.
Use a digital multimeter to measure the current draw in the low beam light circuit. Confirm if it is indeed pulling below 500 milliamperes (0.5 amps), which pinpoints the open circuit condition.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the machine and remove the key to ensure the circuit is unpowered before working on the electrical system.
Replace Faulty Components
If a bulb is blown, replace it with the correct OEM-spec bulb. If a fuse is blown or a relay is faulty, replace it with one of the exact same amperage rating. If wiring is damaged or a connector is corroded, clean the pins, repair the wire break, or replace the pigtail connector.
Reassemble and Secure
Ensure all headlight housings are sealed and wiring harnesses are secured away from moving parts or high-heat areas.
Clear the Code
Turn the key switch on. Many VLC/FLC codes will clear automatically once the controller detects the proper current draw upon cycling the key switch or following the prompt on the CommandCenter display. Turn on the low beams to verify the repair.
