John Deere 2352.05 – BLC / RLC: Low-beam headlight circuit fault / Current Too Low

The current (amperage) on the low-beam headlight circuit is below the expected normal operating range when the headlights are turned on. This typically indicates an open circuit caused by a blown headlight bulb, a disconnected wire, or high resistance in a connector.

   Cycle the key switch or follow the CommandCenter™ page solution, then cycle tractor power to see if the code clears on its own

   Visually inspect the low-beam headlight bulbs on the cab frame or grab rail for a broken filament or darkened glass

   Disconnect the headlight harness and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture ingress, or pushed-out pins which would cause high resistance

   Use a multimeter to verify that voltage is reaching the headlight connector when the low beams are switched on, and check the ground circuit for continuity to the chassis

   De-energize electrical system

   Park the machine on a level surface, turn off the engine, and remove the key to de-energize the electrical system.

   Locate headlight

   Locate the affected low-beam headlight on the cab frame or grab rail.

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the rear of the headlight assembly.

   Inspect and replace bulb

   Remove the bulb from the housing. If the bulb is blown, replace it with a new OEM-equivalent bulb. Do not touch the glass of the new halogen bulb with bare fingers.

   Clean connector pins

   If the bulb is intact, clean the connector pins using electrical contact cleaner and apply a small amount of dielectric grease to prevent future moisture intrusion.

   Replace connector

   If the connector is melted or heavily corroded, splice in a new replacement pigtail connector using heat-shrink butt connectors.

   Reconnect harness

   Reconnect the headlight harness.

   Test headlights

   Turn the ignition key to the ON position and activate the low-beam headlights.

   Verify fault code

   Verify that the light illuminates and check the CommandCenter or diagnostic dash to ensure fault code 002352.05 has moved to an inactive state or cleared entirely.
